** Principal's Update **
Good afternoon parents and carers,
Please note - we have updated some dates for the remainder of the term. Both of our Senior and Junior Sports Days have been postponed until Term 3. We will get these new dates out to families as soon as possible as we understand that families would like to attend. We will share updates via our newsletter and through the 'Upcoming Events' and the 'School Calendar' sections.
I wanted to also remind everyone of our after school processes. When the bell goes at 2:50pm, students are required to leave the school grounds with their parent or carer, or, follow their family routine to get home safely. Unfortunately, some students have been playing after school and injuries have occurred. Staff are not on duty after school, therefore, it can be dangerous, and people can be hurt. Please remind your child to leave promptly at the end of the school day.
School Cleaners’ Day is celebrated this week, on Monday 16 June. We want to take a moment to celebrate and thank all of our cleaners for the incredible work they do to keep our school clean, safe and welcoming. Their skills, attention to detail and dedication make a huge difference for our students, staff and families every day. Let’s show our appreciation and say a big thank you!

There are many websites out there that have interesting fact about children with Autism. Education Qld use and offer websites to support parents, families and educators when living and working with children with Autism.
I wanted to share some of those websites with our families.
The Autism Hub has many different layers to support families and educators and offer online and face to face workshops.
https://autismhub.education.qld.gov.au/
Raisingchildren.net.au is another website that unpacks the language used to support talking about children with autism. It also talks about therapies and supports for autistic children rather than treatments.
Check out these websites as there are many interesting and helpful points found.

From 30 June, significant changes will affect Brisbane, Logan and Redlands bus services, including routes commonly used. Most services travelling into the city will be impacted.
Please check the new timetables and use the Translink Journey Planner to see if your journey to and from school is changing. Planning ahead will help ensure students get to and from school safely and on time.
